I heard the last part of your interview on NPR this morning, and was extremely moved. I am hoping I can convince my husband to let us be a host family for refugees. Can you address what your main hurdles are with regards to helping refugees get to the U.S.? (i.e. lack of sponsors, specific paperwork requirements, etc.) Would you be able to get more families to the U.S. if you had more host families?
WBUR in Boston has made the Here & Now segment with Kirk Johnson available at their website. Follow this link to hear the piece, including the remarkable story of 'Y' an Iraqi ally who was successfully resettled in the US.
